Pregnancy Ultrasound in Houston, TX
Ultrasound is one of the most important tools in prenatal care, allowing your provider to monitor fetal development, confirm the pregnancy, check the placenta, and assess amniotic fluid levels. At Pristine Ob-Gyn, we perform in-office ultrasounds throughout your pregnancy as part of your prenatal care. Our providers use ultrasound findings to guide your care plan and keep you informed at every stage.

About Pregnancy Ultrasound
A standard low-risk pregnancy typically includes 2–3 ultrasounds. High-risk pregnancies may require more frequent scans. Your provider determines the schedule based on your specific needs.
Yes. Diagnostic ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation, and has been used safely in obstetric care for decades. Your provider only orders ultrasounds that are clinically indicated.
Fetal sex can often be determined at the 18–20 week anatomy scan if the baby is in a favorable position. Let your provider know in advance if you want to know or prefer to be surprised.
Pristine Ob-Gyn performs prenatal ultrasounds in-office at our clinic locations. Additional or specialized scans may be referred to an affiliated imaging center or maternal-fetal medicine specialist if indicated.
