About Infertility Evaluation
See a provider if you have been trying to conceive for 12 months without success (or 6 months if you are 35 or older). You should seek earlier evaluation if you have irregular periods, a history of PCOS, endometriosis, prior pelvic infections, or multiple miscarriages.
Common causes include ovulation disorders (such as PCOS), blocked fallopian tubes, endometriosis, uterine abnormalities (fibroids, polyps, septum), and diminished ovarian reserve. In approximately 30% of cases, a male factor is also involved.
Pristine Ob-Gyn provides initial infertility evaluation and basic treatment such as ovulation induction. For advanced treatments like IUI and IVF, we provide referrals to fertility specialists in the Houston area.
Coverage varies by plan. Diagnostic testing such as bloodwork and ultrasound is often covered. Treatment coverage depends on your specific insurance plan. Our team can help you understand your benefits. We accept Medicaid at all active locations.
